How can I change the information that my journal or tracker asks me for?

From time to time, you might decide that you want to change the information you are saving to your journal or tracker. This is different from making an entry for an existing journal or tracker.

Below is a guide on how to change the information that your journal or tracker asks you for.

Tip for success

If the journal or tracker you want to change was set up by somebody else, consider having a conversation with them before making any changes!

Adding more information to your journal or tracker

You might choose to add more information to your journal or tracker to help raise your level of insight based on your unique goals or challenges.

To add more information you will need to:

  1. Choose which journal or tracker you would like to change. This will help you later.
  2. Open your neumind app, and tap on the Tools tab at the bottom.
  3. From there, tap "Journals" or "Trackers" according to your choice in step 1.
  4. Find the journal or tracker you chose in step 1 and tap on it. In our example we picked a tracker.
  5. Tap on the three vertical circle icon in the top right of the screen to open the Options Menu (see Fig. 1 below).
  6. Tap "Edit Tracker" (or "Edit Journal" if you have chosen to add more information to a journal). This will open a new screen with some options.
  7. If you are following instructions for editing or removing information, go to those sections of this article now. Otherwise, continue.
  8. Now we will add more information. So, tap "Add another field".
  9. Add a label for the new information you want to add. It can make sense to phrase this label as a question, for example "Any thoughts on level?".*
  10. You will see a few options to help you pick which sort of information you want to add. Pick an option (see Fig. 2 below). To help you choose, think of what you originally wanted to add to the journal or tracker entries you make.
  11. Configure any other options for your journal or logger field. For example if you select "Required to save entry", later on when you come to making an entry for your journal or tracker you won't be able to save the entry until you've filled it in.
  12. Tap "Next".
  13. Choose where to place your new field in the existing journal or tracker. In our example we will add the new field just after the required fatigue score.
  14. Tap "Submit" to finish.
  15. After submitting, you will be taken back to the edit menu. Tap the exit cross in the top left to return.

Congratulations! You have just added some more information to your journal or logger.

*Note: we character-limit these labels to keep the forms simple.
